I stayed 5 nights with my son in unit 19. The Beachcomber is in a perfect spot! It was so peaceful and quiet. We pretty much had the beach and the pool to ourselves and had a fun time hunting for shark teeth right on the beach. Unit 19 is small and cozy but was fine for the two of us. We were able to cook small meals in the efficiency kitchen. The only downside is the mattress on the Murphy bed. I don't know that there are many options of upgrading it because it's a Murphy bed but a mattress topper would probably help a lot.... read more

This is a real hidden gem! Located right on the beach with a heated pool and community room for social time. Really folks this is what we were searching for. It's not a fancy high rise, but instead a place to unwind and enjoy sunsets and even catch a few fish. Oh did I mention that It's also located within walking distance to the quaint town of Venice with excellent dining options. The manager and staff top this vacation spot off with warm southern hospitality.

We arrived with no reservation because the web system doesn't allow same day reservations. It was no problem though. Our King suite overlooked the beach, and had a real kitchen! The pool felt wonderful after our drive through traffic on I 75. They even have beach gear to borrow! Towels, chairs, mats, and umbrellas, all at no additional cost. We lucked into a drum ceremony that night.
