I am going to give the most honest review I possibly can of this resort. The location does most of the heavy lifting with this resort for obvious reasons. We stayed in the beach front fire pit cottage and it was a little over $4,000 a night. We checked in and was unable to check in early which was no problem the front desk ladies were amazing and very kind. We went to the ocean club and had lunch then came back and checked in. The beach village was recently remodeled with well-designed, pleasant rooms. However, the hotel fell short in service and value, and I won’t recommend it to clients. 1. No valet or luggage assistance present upon 4pm arrival—we had to go inside and request help. 2. They confirmed to work on a special dietary breakfast request at check-in, but the next day front desk had no record and required 4-5 follow-up calls/texts. 3. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL UNLESS YOU WANT TO SWIM IN POOP. We booked in their Beach Village for a few easy days swimming in the ocean and taking their on site surf lessons. Come to find out their beach is frequently closed due to sewage run off from Tijuana. I have been on the phone with them all day and it’s a mess. They are refusing to cancel and refund our reservation as if people book something called the Beach Village to sit in their hotel rooms and watch movies holding their nose to block the smell.
