In March of this year I had Cancer surgery at the Unviersity of Kansas right up the road from this wonderful establishment! Then on Nov 20 I had to have a heart bypass surgery here also. We live 4.5 hours from Kansas City and have made more trips than I can count for presurgey and post surgery appointments. EVERY trip entails atleast one, but more like 2-3 visits here! BBQ here is what you would expect from a 60+ year old joint. Unique atmosphere. Stopped in for lunch yesterday. I had the smoked sausage. Average quality and a pretty good sauce. Good local beer selection. Jerry had the all meats sandwich. I think he said his was average to pretty good. I would recommend stopping in. They have Blues bands EVERY night!
