RecommendedMy husband and I were looking for a new 1st date anniversary place to go. We checked it out and loved it. Food was great, music awesome and service and atmosphere were great. This place used to be owned by my Dad back in the late 80's, so a sweet memory for me also. Will come back again.

Hubby and I are from the twin cities and we came to Kansas city for fun and heard about B.B's and thought we'd check it out. We must have stayed for 5 hours eating BBQ and enjoying the entertainment. Ribs are amazing! I don't usually eat ribs and I absolutely loved them. Loved Mama ray's band! Lots of very talented musicians and a great sense of community! Everyone was so very friendly! Want to mention our waitress, Sonja was super sweet we absolutely loved her! We'll be back for sure next time we're in town!

BBs Lawnside BBQ is a must visit when going to KC. Trevor is a great waiter and an asset to the establishment. Also, Chris cannot be forgotten. They give your " blues" experience added fun. The burnt ends are tremendous and they always have great musicians for you "blues enthusiasts". Before you leave, don't forget to order the bread pudding. Yummy.
Love it every time we go! The food, service, and music combined make for a fun experience. The meats are great, the sides just okay, the sauce is unique and amazing. It is not like any other KC bbq.
