Loved it! Had the rib tip dinner. Meat was piled high w/2 sides. Couldn't eat it all. We'll be back!
I'm from Laurel, Montana and this is the best barbecue I've probably ever have! The employees were very friendly and welcoming. I got to meet the owner. Joel was friendly and felt like I was meeting up with an old buddy. I'll definitely be stopping back in to eat and see Joel when I come back to visit!

Just ate at J & L. Good amount of meat and great bbq sauce. Very friendly service.
The smoke ring on the brisket seemed promising, but things went down hill from there. The seasoning on the brisket was pretty much pure pepper. The sauce was ok, but pretty sure I saw them pour it from a Sweet Baby Ray's bottle. The sides were less than amazing as well: corn tasted like canned corn with tons of pepper added, beans tasted can (again with pepper added), mashed potatoes were bleh with flour-y gravy, and the corn bread was dry.
