Jason has been treating me for chronic GERD. I went in with stomach pain so severe I thought there's no way this is just acid reflux, but after 6 months of treatment many of my issues have subsided. I used Bayview for both treatment and to have my treatment notes worded in language the VA can understand. He's very personable and doesn't rush you through appointments. I was referred by Tidewater Gastroenterology for a hemorrhoidectomy. The staff was friendly and my surgeon did a fantastic job. After 10+ years dealing with these things I was excited to get this done. I went through 5 rounds of banding with no progress. I am at the end of two weeks of recovery. Recovery was expected to be terrible but so far no issues. You couldn't even see the stitches. Dr. Buchberg did a great job. Anastasia was interesting. I had a horrible experience with this practice. Was referred by my gastroenterologist for surgery. It was doomed from the start. First, they called me with an appointment time, directions to the facility, etc. Mind you, I’ve never heard of them so I had no idea where they were located or how to get there. When I arrived for my consultation, they didn’t have me in the system as scheduled for an appointment that they called me and scheduled. Received a referral from my PCP, so Bayview Digestive called while I was at work to schedule an appointment. I've tried calling back THREE times in the past two weeks and it just rings and rings forever. It never gets to a directory or anything like that, it just hangs up after a minute or two. They even sent me something in the mail asking me to call... I'd love to but no one answers and then the system hangs up on me!!!!!!!!! I've had crippling issues that the PA Allison listen to with sincerity. Her expression and interaction with me showed compassion and concern. I never felt dismissed or rushed out. The other staff have also been very helpful, friendly, and kind. I'm deeply grateful for my positive experience.
