Wife had a surgical procedure done. She was given a prescription for pain management, however they failed to contact our insurance to verify what was covered. Instead the doctor wrote the prescription and overprescribed the medication. Clearly more than what was needed. When we went to pick it up, it wasn’t covered due to being overprescribed. My procedure left me with *significantly* more post-op recovery pain than I was led to believe, with very little support or answers from the nursing team when I called—multiple times—to try and get a handle on why this was happening. Buchberg, of course, was never there when I called, nor, it seems, could he be bothered to return any of my calls. The whole team, JaMia, Deborah, and Jason Barker, provided excellent care. They were friendly, professional, and worked together seamlessly to provide patient care. Jason has been treating me for chronic GERD. I went in with stomach pain so severe I thought there's no way this is just acid reflux, but after 6 months of treatment many of my issues have subsided. I used Bayview for both treatment and to have my treatment notes worded in language the VA can understand. He's very personable and doesn't rush you through appointments. I was referred by Tidewater Gastroenterology for a hemorrhoidectomy. The staff was friendly and my surgeon did a fantastic job. After 10+ years dealing with these things I was excited to get this done. I went through 5 rounds of banding with no progress. I am at the end of two weeks of recovery. Recovery was expected to be terrible but so far no issues. You couldn't even see the stitches. Dr. Buchberg did a great job. Anastasia was interesting.
