I dined in on 6/27/22 for a party of one and was very disappointed. I've had mixed experiences when I attend this particular restaurant. Tonight as I began to pick crabs, my daughter FaceTimed me from camp. As we bagan to talk, the waiter came up to me and said her boss stated I need to either get headphones or pick up the call. Some fellow professors and I went here for dinner with some of our students. We had a large group of about 13, so we made a reservation. When we arrived, the Maitre D' didn't seem especially welcoming, which is odd for the service industry but not a big deal. The service and food were ok, but I have had much better of both from other local restaurants. My BIG complaint is about the check. This review is written with great dismay, by a long term customer. My wife and I last dined at the Captain on 2.28.2017 and the hostess was great (as usual), but the server was subpar. He took our drink order and then returned without the drinks wanting us to order our food (which we did). Fifteen minutes later I had to flag down the hostess to get our drinks delivered to the table.
