I accompanied someone to a surgery here and just wanted to share how positive it went, in case anyone else was anxious like I was! Even from check in, everyone was helpful and friendly. Parking is very easy, the wait times were fast, and every single person I interacted with was helpful, kind, and calming. Pre op and post op were great—everyone was communicative and it made a very stressful day as low stress as possible. I had orthopedic surgery yesterday and had a great experience! The staff and providers were all friendly, comforting and respectful. They explained everything going on and we're so kind and caring. I can't say enough good things. I would never hesitate to be treated at Baystate.
Just had surgery here today and YALL HAD ME SO NERVOUS in these reviews omg I thought I was gonna die walking in here but no like at all the receptionist was a little funky but the nurses were all really nice (and greys anatomy pretty) every surgeon is different the anesthesiologist had a really cool accent (I know that doesn’t matter but it did to me she sounded smarter) I felt super comfortable and honestly don’t even remember the mask going on my face! so I took 2 stars off simply because of 1 nurse. I brought my mom here for surgery and before she was wheeled in the team was great, the OR nurses, the anesthesiologist, the surgeon himself 5 stars but not even 30 minutes after she came out of the OR a woman named antoinetta I believe, was extremely rude, horrid bedside mannor. She treated my mom with such disrespect while she's in a state of confusion and still under the anesthesia, we were trying to ask about aftercare and she had no time for it, a few times blatantly igno... read more
