I had to stop here due to a snowstorm preventing me from making it to my original destination, and let me tell you - Debbie was an absolute gem. She was so kind and accommodating during check in. Thank you so much!
Just great all around. From the moment of check in, you could tell that you were in a place where the staff took extra care to make you feel welcome. The rooms were well maintained and the pool and hot tub area was great, with 11pm closing time being especially appreciated. At breakfast in the morning, they had a good hot line with sausage, biscuits, and gravy, and a staff member was there to offer guests eggs and bacon to order. The location was great as well. This was a pleasant experience! We had to pull off last minute due to weather, we were able to easily afford the two rooms we needed, and we're delighted to find that it included breakfast. Debbie greeted us with a warm welcome making it feel like we were catching up with somebody we knew! Richard ran a clean and efficient breakfast. His added touch was volunteering to make eggs to order! As an added bonus, the Bob Evans right next door was a quick walk and a tasty meal with fantastic staff. Overall, excellent
There is no elevator, the hotel is definitely you get what you paid for.. BUT the staff at this hotel will have me coming back every time. Richard whom i met in the breakfast area was just the kindest person. I felt like I was hanging out at a McDonald's with the seniors as they drink their coffee and talk about the present and the past.. The woman who was at the front desk made me feel like she was a long lost cousin. Ok, TOTAL surprise how amazing this place was. Doesn’t look like things like carpet and paint have been updated in a bit. There’s no damage or staining, it just looked a bit aged. There ARE, however, USB ports in every outlet though, something that was missing at more expensive hotels we’ve stayed at this trip. It is VERY obvious the staff takes great pride in providing a clean, welcoming space for travelers. Every surface is spotless, even under the couch cushions. Yes, I checked.
