I had a very disappointing experience at Baymont by Wyndham Portage. As soon as we walked into the hotel, there was a strong, unpleasant smell. When we got to our room, it was clearly dirty — the floors hadn’t been vacuumed, and the room felt unclean overall. The entire property feels old and poorly maintained. I can’t comment on the rooms due to not being able to check in. The systems were down on Saturday during check in, although it was not the front lady’s fault she was extremely rude and only helped the people she picked. I was lied to about a pet fee. The hotel almost came out to over $200. When I called to cancel I was hung up on twice. I was only spoken to with inconvenience and rudeness.
