Excellent location is the only positive I could share as it is close to the highway. Checked in, front desk took credit card and ID. 7:30am following morning, knocking at room door by front desk about payment. We had arrived late after having gone out so was pretty upset being woken up that early. Turns out expiry date was entered incorrectly and person at front desk when checking in didn't process payment. Now to the room, telephone didn't work, safe didn't work. My wife and I spent a night in this hotel. We came to Newport for the August Jazz festival. All hotels were booked in Newport, and we wanted to find a cheap hotel to spend the night. In fact, we were pleasantly surprised. This hotel is pretty for its price, front desk folks very nice, room tidy and clean. Would definitely come back. Good deal for the price.

Stayed here multiple times. Front desk staff had absolutely no idea what they were doing, everytime. Constant communication issues & they were never prepaired when I ordered a room online. They never recognized me upon other stays, and I was treated like a total stranger every time (as if they never had my info before). The inconvenience is not worth the price. I'd rather pay more for better service & hospitality.

The positive is that it was a quiet room and we felt relaxed. The woman at the front desk named Joy was lovely. That made up for the very rude an unprofessional service I received on the phone the day prior. The negatives are having only stairs and no elevator while needing to carry up luggage and belongings. The coffee pot in the room did not work. I was told I could have early check in only to get there at 12 the time I was told, and then be told I needed to wait for 3 hours because there wasn't anything available after al... read more
