Got to room and found a cigarette butt under couch cushion other then that room was clean and ok breakfast was not that good ask specially for room to be cleaned and flowers to be spread out for our honeymoon night and nothing had been done when we got back so a little disappointed but it is a great location
To start, the front desk staff gave us a key programmed for a different room. When we finally got into the room, we found that the beds were made, but the bedding was disgustingly filthy. Hair, bugs, and dirt were all present in the sheets and in the bathroom. Speaking of, the bathroom was so small that the door couldn't fully open because the toilet was in the way. The outside windows have never been cleaned so it has a rundown filthy appearance. All the employees were very nice. They had a hard time figuring out what rooms were clean at 7 pm, so not very organized and probably very short staffed. The room was surface clean meaning no recent dirt but it looks like someone slapped some paint on without cleaning before doing it. Update September 1, 2025. Stayed at the the Baymont when visiting relatives in Keokuk. Based on the price this hotel is five stars. I did like the way cool shower head. I could set it to any height. Only issue i saw was with the pool not being available which was dis-appointing. Great hotel with long history. The oldest in the city. I have been coming to this hotel for more then 40 years.
