I wish I could give 5 stars because the nurse that delivered our daughter was by far the most amazing human being in the world. Shout out to Karli for possibly being the best ever. From start to finish of the delivery I have never seen such expertise / knowledge / positivity from an individual. But unfortunately, after our delivery, our experience went downhill. From the postpartum night nurse losing the ankle bracelet that had my child’s name on it when she was taking her to the nursery (luckily there are other security mea... read more
Long overdue review. Gina from labor and delivery is amazing. I delivered my baby on December 5 days before Christmas. She was there for me as a person and as my nurse. I truly felt scared inside and she helped me get through it. She is truly compassionate and caring and kind. And funny! Gina you’re an amazing nurse. My c section was not what I expected but she validated my feelings and made sure I understood what my situation was going to be and the expectations. Baylor is a great hospital to give birth in.
If I could give zero stars, I would. My sister has delivered here before but this time it’s do much different. Her needs were not met, and she felt unheard and looked past. In constant pain with no relief with contractions and basically got told she was being a crybaby. That she was just dehydrated and never really ran tests properly for her. Staff have very terrible and rude bedside manner as well. She came in for non stop back to back contractions at 35 weeks. And was “ shrugged off”. This is absolutely unacceptable! Seems... read more
Great place for our grandchild to be born. I can't say enough good things about how the Doctors, Nurses, and staff treated everyone. Their skills, knowledge, and professionalism are top shelf. BUT, The WAITING ROOM FURNITURE is a different story. There is nowhere to be comfortable after an hour or two while you wait. The chairs are small, there is no room to stretch out for a nap. After 10 hours, the 2nd day, (yes, I know that is not usually the case) I finally went to my car for a nap. This would be 5 stars if not for that ... read more
Our experience at Baylor University Medical Center during the birth of our child was not just disappointing—it was a nightmare. The incompetence, dishonesty, and sheer disregard for human dignity and patient rights that we encountered are inexcusable. If I could give negative stars, I would. The nurses in Labor & Delivery were, by and large, unprofessional and apathetic. Many were cold, dismissive, and visibly irritated when asked for basic support. Some even wore perfume—an absurd breach of hospital standards, especially in... read more
