All of the reveiws about the billing department are true. They are attempting to balance bill me (illegally). Filing a formal complaint with the Texas HHSC tomorrow. Clearly they are trying take advantage of those who do not understand healthcare billing. The actual surgical experience was the same as being at the DMV: super long wait, no one cared about their jobs (people just sitting around and chatting about netflix shows), the anesthesia team was completely incompetent and the nurses could not answer a single question. Excellent facility and services. Staff and physicians.
The staff was remarkable except the Anesthesiologist, Dr. Youn. Dude had a keep way of making this the worst pre-op experience. Wheeled in under tears with zero confidence in his care because of his aggressive and rude check-in. I should have asked to talked to the CRNA. Gladly I won't need to go back. Bedside manner is no bueno.
The facility is nice and easily accessible being right off 114 but the staff is what really sets this place apart. Everyone was welcoming and seemed to be in good spirits. Special thanks to my prep nurse Kelly, anesthesiologist Lisa, Dr Simmang and Jayda. They were all amazing!
