First of all they are billing as if they are a full service hospital. They’re not. So your bill for a study will be a few hundred dollars more for the same test versus going to a Touchstone which is also owned by Baylor. They will not tell you this information. This is an outpatient imaging center attached to a little stand alone ER. If you have anything more than a cold or a scape you’ll be in an ambulance and sent to a real hospital to get help. I've been to this location twice about a year apart. Once for a routine mammogram screening and once for a chest x.Ray. I was pleasantly surprised with short wait times and the efficiency and professionalism of the techs. What REALLY blew me away is the front desk employee ReShonda B. I have been delighted to be greeted by her positive, outgoing, warm, compassionate, and kind energy. She is a GEM! Positive encounters restore my faith in humanity and inspire me to be a better human! Be kind to one another!
The new patient scheduling phone rep has been much better than Touchstone Garland's. Let's see how the rest of the prior authorization, advanced imaging, and billing process goes
With recommendation/referral from my mom's PCP clinic (that assured us it was in network with my mom's INS), I took my mom here for her foot and back imaging scans early at 8:30ish. The office is open from 8am-5pm M-F. The receptionist (I forgot to look at her name badge/ask for her name, but she has nice eyeglasses on) was welcoming and informative and let us know that the insurance would cover the visit before we got the scans done.
