FIVE STARS BayCoast Bank is always extremely competitive in rates and often has the best rates. They also shine in their commitment to the community. I’ve seen over an over how their staff dedicate time to community initiatives as well as BayCoast Bank resources such as grants. They are an amazing Team with a great President, Nick Christ.
Do not use the ATM at the Swansea location next to the mall! Your card will get stuck in the ATM due to the ATM freezing like a computer. My card has been stuck in there a few weeks ago. Every time I go to use the ATM another persons card is stuck in there! Even over the winter there were problems with it not working right! When my card was stuck I waited for them to open and when I spoke with someone from the bank they really didn’t seem to care about their ATM being a severe INCONVENIENCE to people!
If you have any accounts at BayCoast bank (especially the Ashley blvd branch) close your accounts and move on. I’ve had nothing but issues with this institution which is why I arrived at the decision to switch banks and today proved I made the right decision. I went in to close my accounts today and do you know they closed my account and handed me all of my cash and NEVER asked for my ID?!?! I had actually thought BayCoast was 4 stars but then 2 things happened. The new branch in New Bedford feels so awkward compared to a normal bank and most importantly, no more deposit slips? I like to jot down my account number and tally my checks and my cash. I still need to tell the teller what my account number is...why not just give her a slip!?!?!?
