Call ahead to make sure your appointment is actually with a doctor for the issue you need. Example; The portal allows you to schedule for a rheumatologist appointment but it’s actually just a primary care doctor that cannot assist. Very unfortunate to drive an hr one way to be let down at the front desk. As we are approaching the end of the year, I now won’t be able to get my labs done in time to be covered under this year’s deductible. :(
