What my expectations were and what we got were two different worlds. When my mother decided not to do dialysis we immediately went to hospice to set up a relationship with a nurse so at the end she would have someone familiar around. We were expecting a different end of life experience. My mother suddenly has a massive hemorrhagic stroke and it was completely unexpected. And we thought thank god we have hospice set up.
