If I could go back in time, I would have chosen a different hospice company for my mother. The nurse assigned to her through Bayada Hospice, while gentle in her physical care, was emotionally absent. If I could go back in time I would have chosen a different hospice company for my mom. The nurse that was assigned to her may be the driest least empathetic hospice nurse possible. She was my mother’s main nurse for 7 months and although I felt zero empathy from the first day, I kept telling myself maybe it’s in my head. But no, my mom passed 5 weeks ago and to this day I haven’t received not one text message or post card from this nurse or company. Nothing. Even Medicare sent a condolence letter.
