We placed an order through Uber Eats for a “Buy One Get One Free” promotion. Before confirming, we called the restaurant to verify that our order was correctly applied under the promotion. The employee who answered was extremely unhelpful and dismissive. When we asked for confirmation, he responded, “Yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s right,” without actually checking the order, and then abruptly hung up the phone. I ordered a buy one get one " build your own bowl (medium)" with salad through Uber Eats. I took one bite of the first salad and immediately discovered an insect in the food in my second bite. I spit the food out right away and stopped eating. tHe second salad was never opened or touched. I took photos and kept the food as evidence. When I contacted the restaurant, the manager simply told me to replace that for me, but I was already uncomfortable to eat anything at that restarant, so I asked them to refund me.
