In response to Mr. Young... So you got a price to probably repair the job correctly, but paid someone to just "cover it up" . I personally do fiberglass work and have seen many many boats where the owner thought it was "just a scratch". There is too much liability involved in doing patchwork vs correct work, and unless you do it for a living and see it on a daily basis, you won't be able to properly assess a repair. It's like me getting a quote from you to build me a website, and you tell me $1800, and I say no and some guy ... read more
