The club has poor policies for junior members. The club's official policy is to charge entry fee for parents to enter even for accompanying children inside facilities. I was asked to pay a $30 fee for this pleasure once which, when the then GM intervened was clarified to state that 'it wouldn't apply in future'. A new GM arrived and the policy of asking 'accompaniment fee' was revived. I had enough of this - so relinquished membership.
This Bay Club has a weird freaky energy... people come here to work out their cells phones not their bodies... way too much cell phone usage. Even with the renovation this is my least favorite Bay Club... hard to get motivated here when the members here plant themselves on the equipment to play with their cell phones!
Poorly managed club. Facilities are under construction and are not being maintained. Class selection is limited to less mills and dance.
Ask trainers to not wear strong perfume :( Gives me a headache!
I really can’t believe it is come to this! About 6 weeks ago, a sign-up sheet was placed outside the gym doors by the club manager, Laurie Miner, asking for contact info of people interested in the gym “improvements.” I promptly added my name, and yet, have never received any reply. They do not treat their members with much respect. We have been members for 3 years and just cancelled after yet another bad experience with staff. This time, the front desk manager, Aileen, accosted me in the changing room about my 4 yr old son, the family change room was opening the following week (because the whole club is currently under construction) and she demanded I change in the small, disgusting kids bathroom stall since I had my boys. The new men’s locker room is an exercise in dysfunction. After all that money they created a horrible useless space. Be careful, you’ll likely get locked out of your locker in nothing but a towel.
