I have been a patient of both Sharon Welsch and Dr. Ruiz from their prior practices. I am so happy they are now together at Bay Area Womens care. The office and staff are courteous and easy to book appointments. Sharon is such a great provider. She spends time with me and answers al my questions. I cannot say enough great things about the Biote pellet- it’s the best Also - their requirement to have a credit card on file is a very acceptable practice. Dr. Ruiz is amazing. Her nurse is the both professional and compassionate. It's unfortunate that the billing department is so unpleasant. The customer service in this office could really use some work. So much so that I am considering finding a new doctor after close to 16 years with Dr. Ruiz.
Refused care to 16 year old in pain who has great ppo health insurance and 300 dollars all because i didn't have a credit card for you to put on file, and was not told about this policy on the phone when I booked a new patient appointment I have bcbs ppo and should not be required to pay up front except 20 dollar copay per my plan. I have reported it to blue cross. The sad part is your practice turned someone away with insurance so I guess there is no compassion at this practice.
