Wonderful steak and cooked perfect!
Service was extremely slow. Server was rude. Apps were served 45 minutes after order, and we were informed at that time that two of the four entrees we ordered were unavailable. Entrees were served 90 minutes after seating and none of the four steaks ordered were cooked appropriately. Three were well over and one filet was practically raw with a cold red center, ordered medium rare. We will not be back.
Great neighborhood restaurant, large selection of food, friendly atmosphere. Very friendly staff always willing to please. Only open for dinner.
Great experience for our first time here while on vacation! We had escargot, Steak dinner and cheesecake. All were amazing as well as our waitress Morgan!!
Their sign outside says it all “Best Steaks in Town” that’s the absolute truth and that’s what brought us in while vacationing our first time on Amelia Island Every single bite of our steaks, vegetables and baked potatoes were perfect When we’re back in town this will be a priority place on our list to return too
We’ve been dining at Baxter’s for over 2 years. The service has (almost) always been great, so no complaints there. The food has always been ok and our favorite is prime rib night. After tonight’s dinner (prime rib special), I doubt that we’ll be back. I ordered my prime rib “rare as you can”. It arrived medium well/well. I told the waitress the issue and she related that the Chef refuses to serve rare steaks. She stated that she put it in as medium rare, but it’s the best she could do.
