Delicious dinner with our English relatives. Great atmosphere with good wait staff. Don't miss the creme brûlée.
Chicken fries great, shrimp great, catfish good, steaks need work. Put some butter and seasoning on the steaks crank up the heat!

Spent the day antiquing in Warrenton and came to Bastrop to stay the night. We actually had gone to a restaurant next door to put our name down. While we were waiting outside for our table a local lady walked up and starting making conversation with us and asked if we had plans to eat dinner. We told her we were waiting on a table at Maxine's. She said we should try Baxters on Main and that it is one of her favorite places to eat. We are so glad we did! Fabulous filet mignons, well everything is fabulous!!! Nice family owned restaurant anda new nice bar for visiting with friends!!
