Their service department is basically fraud and crook infested. I have never seen a business that will literally try to scam hundreds of dollars out of someone. I took 4 brand new tires in to be mounted and balanced, and to have an oil change. 4 hours after my service, I got a call from a tech there saying that their tire machine had gone down that morning and had to have an emergency technician come out there, and that he had just gotten there and would only be about another 30 min or so. Purchased a used Tiguan. On the highway there was a noise coming from the wheel, clearly a hub or bearing. I took it in multiple times within the initial warranty period and they kept telling me "oh its fine, nothing wrong." I take it back later, same noise, same problem. What do they say? you need a wheel bearing fixed...... Not only that. I took it in for the $145 inspection. when I called to decline service and ask final price, they quoted me $350. Only care about selling cars. Service department is lacking. Purchased a brand new VW GTI in October 2020. The intervals call for an oil change every 10,000 miles. I was at 7800 miles in mid June of 2020 and my low oil light came on. When I spoke to the service department they advised it was normal for a brand new engine to burn oil. When I took the car in my vehicle had burned 4.5 quarts of oil out of 6! I expressed my concern of potential engine damage as I didn't know what the oil level was from the factory. VW had our dealership to perform an oil consumption test and the unit passed the test. We combined efforts with VW and offered the customer a full refund. I will visit with the guest again and make sure that we have clearly explained his options.
