I manage a bar/restaurant at the JW Marriott in Tampa. One day an Italian coworker told me about how great Bavaros is. My wife and I just hit our 4th visit to Bavaros today 08.06.2025 and can officially say we’ve become REGULARS. Bavaros hits everytime we visit it, it’s got great food, great atmosphere and staff is attentive at all times. Today we came in for lunch and for starters the service was extremely slow for how dead the restaurant was. I am a server myself and was just sad how long it took to be greeted and pretty much everything after that. I understand people have their days so I was going to give the benefit of the doubt and not say anything but there was 2 facial hairs in my food. And just due to how long everything took I left it alone.
The pizza was good but the tiramisu was the best🤌
Staff is gracious and attentive. You can choose the dog friendly outdoor seating or a cozy spot inside where you can watch the pizzas being prepped and cooked in their gorgeous wood fired oven. Everything on the menu is tempting but I tried the Wild Funghi Pizza. The crust was rustic with slightly salty and the toppings were earthy and fresh - with big beautiful roasted garlic cloves! Prices are absolutely reasonable. Thank you for a lovely dining experience!
