My mom always swore by Bauwens so when I injured myself I went to him, after a failed Urgent Care assessment. The guy is extremely knowledgeable, knows what to look for, and is compassionate beyond belief. As I’ve had ongoing related problems I find myself fortunate to have him as a Doc.
He's a top-notch orthopedic surgeon who never rushes through appointments and takes plenty of time to listen to patients and then explain his recommendations & answer any & all questions before proceeding with any treatments. Highly recommend him!

He is the best doctor that I have seen. He is a foot and ankle specialist but also very knowledgeable and helpful with other orthopedic issues. He spends all the time I need to have my questions answered.

This doctor might be a great doctor, but good luck getting an appointment. After leaving urgent care with a broken wrist and a soft splint, the nurses there said to call this doctor to be seen within the next week. The nurse who answered the phone was so apathetic. It was 4pm on a Friday before a holiday weekend. Why would she care? So now my dad is left with a soft splint for nearly 2 weeks. They better hope he doesn’t need anything more serious than a cast

Dr. Huizenga performed emergency surgery on my wrist and did an excellent job. I had a quick and thorough recover. I even went back to him for a second opinion for another situation.
I had a total ankle replacement in December 2016. Dr. Ferguson did an amazing job preparing me for the surgery and the recovery. The surgery itself was a great success and my incision is perfect. I trust Dr. Ferguson, his judgement and ability to deliver. His office staff is equally professional and dedicated to their patients. I would recommend Dr. Ferguson to anyone needing ankle/foot surgery. I would not see another surgeon.
