I have been with Dr. Bauman since I was 10 and I'm 36 now. That alone says something about how amazing of a Dr. she is. She is great at what she does and that's helping people with mental illness. If it wasn't for her help growing up, my mental illness would have taken my life years ago. She goes above and beyond for her patients!
Dr.Bauman is really great. She listens to me and is always attentive to what I’m trying to explain. I made my appt and saw her within a couple of days, best decision I’ve made in a long time!! Would highly recommend her!!!
It is the responsibility of a psychiatrist to tell their patient of ALL side effects of any prescribed medication. She put me on 2 SSRI's. Both times she told me I would experience nausea, mood swings, ect. She failed to tell me that I could experience sexual disfunction. I now have had Post SSRI Sexual Dysfunction for 2 years and it could last the rest of my life. There is no known cure. The fact that she failed to warn me about such a serious side effect is deeply unethical and irresponsible.
I had to give all my info and then wait 2 days before finding out if Dr. Bauman would take me. The next available appointment was a month away, and I wasn't sure if I would be in town. I was told to call back when I was sure. (She wouldn't let me make the appt and then cancel if I couldn't make it.) I called back a week later to accept the appt, and was told they had closed the window for new patients. Really? I mean, a week prior they would have taken me, but suddenly they're full up?
Never in my life have I been to a Dr. who was less professional. First she cancelled an appointment 30 minutes prior to appointment time. Stuff happens. Next appointment, she was not in the bldg. when I arrived. Didn't show up until 45 minutes after appointment time. She failed to call in prescription as she told me she would. Took two phone calls to get her to call in prescription. And when she finally did, she sent it incorrect information. I question her standard of care..
She is Great.
