No ice machine in our hotel, #5. Requested ice from the front desk, waited for an hour, then gave up. Needed to go ourselves later in main building on 2nd floor in a closet, not marked. Had to go back down to the main desk to ask again. Went to the restaurant for dinner. Bartender was not attentive at all. Ordered meals, soup came within 30 minutes, rest of meal did not come, after an hour and 15 minutes requested it to go. Bartender came over and said they'll make it to go. I stayed at the Battery Wharf Hotel from August 21 to 23, 2025, and had an extremely disappointing experience at the front desk. I was denied check-in because my name was allegedly not in their system, despite my friend having already emailed their manager to include me as a guest. The manager later offered a poor excuse, claiming the email needed to explicitly state that I was to be “checked in as a guest,” even though the intent of the request was clear and had been acknowledged. I made my reservation in February for a booking in October. And due to family issues, I had to cancel my entire vacation. Every hotel refunded my money except one, the Battery Wharf. They decline my refund and kept my money. The reason given, was because they didn’t like the way I spoke with them. Regardless of how I spoke with them, I had booking protection with Expedia and yet they cannot refund my money because the Battery Wharf has decided to deny my refund request.
