The location was great. The rooms were really big. However, the lack of a refrigerator in the room in 2025 is surprising. We were lucky that there was one available when we requested one. We didn't have air conditioning for most of the time we were there. The pillows were flimsy, and my husband and I both left with neck issues. The food choices in the restaurant were limited, not particularly good, and the restaurant itself was not well-kept. The room had peeling wallpaper. I travel to Boston often and have stayed in everything from 1-star motels to luxury hotels, and unfortunately, Battery Wharf ranks at the very bottom. From the moment I arrived, it was a frustrating experience. No valet for SUVs, my room key failed multiple times, and I got stuck in an elevator with no apology or urgency from staff. The front desk was dismissive and unhelpful throughout my stay. The location is great, so close to the north end. The rooms are tight, though. We paid more for a harbor/wharf view for 2 nights and we were on the ground floor with a giant bush in the way of the view as well as painters' equipment and painting activity happening directly out our windows the entire time. So the water view was a total bust, and when we told them at check out, nothing was done. Finally, the bathroom had a sliding barn door that WOULD NOT close all the way. Great location and a nice big room but it really needs an update as everything seemed worn down. At $300+ a night it’s overpriced. Most staff we interacted with seemed to be going through the motions. The evolve spa is a complete rip off, avoid.

Beautiful hotel in a great location! Easy to walk to so many great bars, restaurants and sights. The room itself is pretty, comfortable and nice. Only complaint on the room is the lack of a mini fridge for leftovers or drinks. The issue I had is the staff attentiveness and the sprawl of the hotel… I found it challenging when I would call the front desk and get put on hold immediately and then left there for 5+ minutes.
