This company hires trades guys that hire subtrades and don't pay them. Insulation/drywaller out of Toronto hired a company to install loose fill attic insulation and spray foam and never paid. To the tune of over 25 thousand dollars. Company that was hired by these criminals almost lost everything as they were a small local company. When they approached Batavia they essentially said "too bad" and continued to work with this terrible company. Lack of integrity here. Run
Should definitely be minus star for this company. Absolutely build garbage and the complete staff are ignorant and arrogant. Please save your money and find a decent builder. Six years and still rebuilding to improve. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS.
Garbage craftsmanship and build quality. We purchased a home of theirs and the front door frame was warped within a year if moving in, we had an inspector check it and the whole construction surrounding the door is installed incorrectly. Our bricks on the corner of the house have come apart from the grouting. We visited the site foreman and explained the issue and were told they would look at it the net day which turned out to be a no show. We moved into our home in Penetanguishene in April 2018. House was incomplete when we were forced to take possession. First summer our basement flooded due to heavy downpour and catch basins being covered with mud. It took 2 years before all the work was completed to our satisfaction. The Town has confirmed the Grading Fees were returned to Batavia, yet they have not released the funds to the owners. Been here 4 years. Majority of phase 1 has sold and moved out. TERRIBLE experience! Purchased my home and 2+ years later it still hasn’t been started. The company is extremely difficult to communicate with. My closing date was pushed several times and we are now past the final “firm closing date” and I have NO closing date. Batavia Homes is not holding up their end of our contract! They show no compassion for the impact their actions are having on the families who trusted them with their money.
