I went in looking for a crossover cable. This is a very common item. Three out of four of the staff members there had no idea what I was talking about. The fourth one said he would have to make one, and wanted to charge an outrageous fee for one that was 6 feet long. Lets put it this way, I can get a less expensive one ready made and tested at Staples or Office Max.

I disagree with any negative ratings of this company. Batavia Computer has always served me seamlessly and provided me with professional and courteous service. I have never had any problem getting what I sought from this company and I would highly recommend others to doing business there. Every computer that I have purchased from Jay has worked flawlessly for me.
Brought in a laptop to be fixed. The fix was done, but they broke less noticable parts on it, such as the external monitor port and the frame on the inside. dont let them touch your computer. Guy who runs it is a total ass too.
Brought in my laptop for a couple of quick fixes I couldnt due to my lack of experience with a soldering iron. I was told it would take three days. Its now going on two weeks now, and the repair person keeps making up lies that I keep catching him in as to why I dont have my computer back. Then he proceeds to tell me his entire schedule and why he cant get the main repair done yet, but told me all about the other work that was not necessary that they did to try and make them sound better. best prices so far in town and Tom is the best. he knows what hes doing and treats you like family. Not like these other place that treat you like you dumb and then rip you off.
Total incompetence. They will not stand behind what they sell or fix. Wasted \$\$ there.
i went in with a broken screen on my laptop. and i felt like i was dealing with a family member they made me feel at home. i got my laptop back in a day and its great. i called around before going to batavia computer and they wore the lowest price to get it fixed. not only that they wore the fastest to get it done. i will go there for all my computer needs thanks guys and gals.
I would never deal with them again either.
