I love my local hardware store. Even after the change of ownership. I find the workers friendly and knowledgeable. And the things that they don't have, are usually because people are buying them at the dollar store instead of at hardware stores. Plus you can order things from Home Hardware to be delivered to the store.
Great Service, has everything you need. My questions are always answered and if they do not have they order for me! Definitely a place I frequent and so should those in the neighborhood! I’ve been hearing rumours of them closing but that’s not the case from what I hear from employees. Great attitude on the guys at the front and always helpful. Bastone is a staple in the neighborhood! Love that place!
Guy at the front is fine. He’s direct and no nonsense. Nothing negative to say about his service. This lower review is about the store stock. Since the new ownership, lots of bare spaces where there used to be product. I don’t think there is a restock happening regularly, or at all. Seems to be just going through existing stock and when it’s done, that’s it. The Clerk at the front cash was rude. I stood there for a few minutes waiting for him to get off the phone with his girlfriend, finally I interrupted him to ask the question while his girlfriend was on hold. He gave me a short answer then continued on with the phone conversation as though I wasn't a paying customer. I won't be going back here anytime soon.
I came in to get a few keys copied with my kid in a stroller sleeping, and the staff were incredibly accommodating! They showed me the best space in the shop to walk her so that the key machine didn’t wake her up! and they also helped frame my stroller up and down the store steps! Always happy to support this local business
