I give this place a four star review. Everything about the resort is good except for the cable. They advertise cable connection. Wrong. They have it and it tries to connect but never gets there or it gets there but only two channels and they are so fuzzy they might as well not be there. Otherwise than that good place.

Basswood is the best RV park in the KC area... I lived there for over a year... it's beautiful, they have cabins, a lodge, a country store, four lakes, and fantastic RV sites that have something to offer everybody...and there's something going on every weekend. I didn't have any problems except the normal people problems you sometimes get when people party hearty or think they're better than someone else. No worries... they're going to be gone in the morning anyway! I love my RV. Basswood is great! Gary Webb

VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!! I just called to book a weekend stay in one of the B&B rooms, asked if I could see the room or get a tour of rooms, and was told by the very unfriendly person answering that they do not allow you to see the rooms before your stay. What are you hiding? Even the Best Western will give anyone a tour of the accommodations. Very disappointing because the location is very convenient and I could see my family using the B&B for weekend getaways frequently. Well, I guess we will be looking for another location!

Don't go! I had been a repeat customer for at least 5 years and have even brought friends who rented cabins. I was a nice quiet quaint place. But we rented a cabin and apparently a bunch of people who all knew each other rented most of the other cabins and PARTIED all night, meaning they partied outside, music BLASTING, loud yelling and hollaring, drunk, belligerent. After many years of having our family reunions at a location in town we decided we wanted to be more out in the country. Many days and months of looking for the 'perfect' location lead us to Basswood Resort. We soon realized we made the perfect choice! It's difficult to try to organize a reunion for almost 50 people with all age groups. The Basswood staff was a great help during our planning process. We had a family christmas clelbration at Basswood's lakeside lodge and it was perfect. Our family from all over the country came in and everyone loved the facilities and the staff. We found the staff to be very helpful whenever we needed them. The facilities were very clean and the lodge over looking the lake was spectacular even in the cold weather. We have recommended Basswod to all our family and friends that live in the local area and we will definitaly be back.

This place is a joke they lied to us about refund policy I gave them a month notice of cancellation due to a knee surgery and refused to return my money filed a BBB complaint and they refused to acknowledge it. The place its self is no good the fishing is horrid, the tent sites are really bad and the staff if very uneducated when it comes to policy and the manager is a liar and basically stole my money with no just cause!!!!
