Great store with, mostly, fantastic staff. I didn't see a single employee who did not offer to assist unless they were already with a customer. Great selection of camping gear, hunting gear, and a massive clothing area. HUGE shout out to Ken, in archery! He is very knowledgeable and one of the most patient men I've met. We went in looking for some fishing gear and to get our license for the year. They have more than enough to choose from which is great! The people in the fishing section greeted us and were nice to chat with. Prices were normal. The issue I have is with employees hassling you to try to get you to sign up for their credit card. 3 different employees approached us and tried to get us to sign up. Filled out a form to get a value of my trade in for my boat. I got a call from there team who wouldn’t give me a value of my trade in because I was gathering information and not ready to select a model verbally? Why offer the form to start a conversation if you’re not just going to offer a rough price?
This John guy they have working has no sense of urgency and helping customers and doesn't help customers really kind of just rushes and really quick like he's not interested in really helping anyone. Then I go back to gun cabinet waiting to buy a gun and he just walks away other direction like he doesn't know I'm standing there after likely running off other guy. He's just waiting for 7 pm to roll around and that's about it. He has no problem gawking at you, but the second you're ready to buy something he runs away.
Horrible experience. Cashier was rude to me because I didn’t want to sign up for rewards program. Then refused to let me check out when I asked to check the price on a fishing rod. I’m from out of state and this is the first time I’ve met an unpleasant Minnesotan.
