This place is awesome! I come at least once a month and have never had an issue! Went today, crazy busy. Kids everywhere, Santa's Wonderland was smoking! Man how cool is that! Free picture with Santa, I didn't know anyone did that anymore. It was so busy, we didn't get to take a picture this time but we will be back tomorrow bright and early to get a Bass Pass. No pass, no Santa. My girls were so upset. We were there at 1 pm and no passes available for the rest of the day. Apparently the people there at 1 got there at 10 to get passes. We don't live close so coming back later or tomorrow doesn't work. There was no carousel either. We've been coming for the last 5 years. Ridiculous, disappointing , and things need to change. This was the Grapevine, Texas location.
I love the store and all the merchandise but not "ONE" sales person approached me and asked if they could help me with anything the entire time I was there. I needed help finding a different size jacket for my son. I was there for a little over 2 hours. I spent around $65.
A couple years ago it was done right. Now it's pathetic. Bass Pro thinks it's efficient but having people come in and stand in line is the only fair and truly efficient way. We won't be shopping at Pass Pro or Cabela's since they are now owned by the same company. Making sure all our friends know to go to other Christmas events for their children. The "Bass Pass" is a joke and only works for those without jobs that can be at the store at 9am.
I love this store! My husband is a hunter so we spend far too much time there! But this time we went for the santa! My three year old had a terrific time and the santa is always so good and so very sweet!!! The lines are horrible but that's typical, they do a really awesome job with the cards so it's actually not the worst thing in the world!
After coming to see Santa here for the past 3 years (and having great experiences) it was becoming a family tradition. But after our visit today , I'm looking elsewhere. The store opened at 9:00, I got there at 9:15 and the earliest time to see Santa was 12!!! I never waited longer than 1 1/2 hours before.
