SOMEWHAT DISAPPOINTED I'VE EATEN AT BASILICO'S A FEW TIMES. THEY ATMOSPHERE AND SERVICE ARE ALWAYS GREAT. MY LAST MEAL WAS DISAPPOINTING. THE SEAFOOD TASTED A LITTLE OFF, THE SHRIMP WERE ALMOST POPCORN SHRIMP AND THE BLACK PASTA WAS NOT WORTH EATING.
not worth the cost its average itlaian for that is way over priced. the waitstaff is overworked and will forget you are alive. you can never get their attention because they wont look you in the eye. i have ate at basilico three times and had the same experience every time. i just moved to millburn and live two blocks away and wanted to like the place which is why i gave them three shots. im not fussy but 8 bucks for watered down mushroom soup and 24 bucks for a place of pasta is absurd. there are so many other good restaura... read more
Highly Recommended This central location in Millburn, makes it the perfect restaurant to go to before heading off to a show at the Papermill Theater. Wonderful, "chic", ambience with delicious Italian food. Make sure you leave room for dessert! A bonus is that it's a BYOB! I would highly recommend this restaurant - just don't forget to make reservations.
Not Good For Groups I went to Basilico with a large party and the service was terrible. I'm convinced that waiters don't even make an effort when the table size meets mandatory tip. Instead of introducing himself and asking if we were ready to order, the waiter came to our table after an hour and told us when we needed to be out the door for the next group. They were extremely rude to us throughout the entire night.
A little pricey I thought that although the food was good, it seemed a little overpriced considering the portion size. I thought the service was good, and I did like the atmosphere.
Emperor Food was Good. I had a gazpacho that was excellent and pasta that was above average. Prices were reasonable, but service sucked.
Basilico is inconsistent On a Christmas eve this restaurant was running on gusto and went on thaqt great night for dinner for my anniversary. Verydisappointing. One waiter covering half the restaurant. Food came out wrong for my wife and cowboy steak was poor. Although, I would not lose faith on this restaurant you have a greater margin of safety for lunch. bUON appetite
Basilico is Amazing! Went there last week for dinner. Our server was a very knowledgeable and friendly. He recommended the Osobuco which was superb! The atmosphere is great, made us feel like we were in the city. Go there if you want a great meal and even better service! We will definitely be back.
Very elegant Italian restaurant Baislico is a beautiful restaurant located in the heart of Millburn's downtown. During summer they have dining outside under umbrellas. They offer sophisticated Italian menu. All waiters are so charming and speak oh, with an accent. Service is excellent. Dinner menu is expensive.
