My mother's experience with Dr. Basener was horrific. She was the hospitalist at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, IA. Her bedside manner with my mother had her in tears and hiding under her sheet. We have had many, many doctors throughout our struggle with her disease and no one has ever had my strong-willed, disease fighting mother in tears.
