I came to base camp not expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised at the amazing staff which included Steven as our waiter, Sam and Marcelo as our amazing bartenders who made the most incredible old fashions. We had the Noodle bowl for dinner and a cheeseburger with truffle fries. Everything was hot, fresh and tasty. You may think of this place as just another restaurant and bar but the staff truly makes this place worth coming for. I highly recommend.
Not a great experience. Would not see us until the entire party was there, even though it’s a ski resort restaurant. People are coming off the hill for our party of seven. There was a large booth available, but they would not give it to us because it was only for a party of eight! The restaurant was dead. Silly rules, rules rules. Service was slow. Food was average to less than average. Disappointing for such a basic American restaurant.
If you’re in the service industry and working for tips, it’s common courtesy to at least let your customer know that you’ll be right with them. I waited over 15 minutes for someone to come ask me what I wanted. Food was OK.
