I was Dr. Basco's patient for more than 8 years. A friend recommended him to me and had nothing but great things to say about him; she was right. HE IS THE BEST! He is very knowledgeable, respectful, patient, kind, listens to my concerns and made me feel very comfortable. My previous obgyn experiences were not great. Since the age of 14 I was suffering with excruciating pain and no other Dr was able to figure out what was wrong. Fantastic doctor. He is very accepting and accommodating of LGBTQ+ patients, in this case, a gay trans man. He was also happy to discuss sterilization surgery for me even though I'm young (24), and agreed to it once he knew I was 150% sure I wanted it and knew the consequences. I worked with Dr. Basco and was also his patient in Farmville. He is the best and you will never find a more caring phycisian.
Dr. Basco delivered 2 of my children when he used to work at Centra Southside Community Hospital in Farmville Va. I can't say enough good things about him! He honestly cares about his patients & takes the time to explain each test or procedure. We are soo incredibly blessed to have had him be such a big part at one of the most joyful & exciting times in our lives.

Today was my first time meeting him. He's one of the most genuine doctors I've met aside from Dr. Faulk in Newport News. I've already recommended him to a few friends and my sisters. I love him already. You can tell who's passionate and who's not. Thank you again Dr. Basco!
Dr.Basco saw me as I dealt with an ectopic pregnancy. I was moved to tears by his gentle compassion as he talked me through what was going on. I've truly never felt more comforted by a medical professional; I am so grateful to him.
