UPDATE: Cripple Creek definitely redeemed themselves. They gave me a call after my poor experience and refunded me for the ski tune. The manager apologized for the oversight and explained that they valued me as a customer. Very good customer service in taking the time to call me. ORIGINAL: Unfortunately, I had a very poor experience with Cripple Creek. A few weeks ago, I brought in a new pair of backcountry boots to have my bindings remounted, and while I was there I also requested a ski tune. They charged $180 for this serv... read more

I will never be going back to Cripple Creek. They sized me wrong in my boot and after three years of skiing in them, I realized my subpar technique in the backcountry is largely due to the wrong size of boot. I can fit 3 fingers in my boot lengthwise without the insole. They also sold me a way too light pair of skis as a beginner backcountry skier, and I’ve had to replace with a slightly heavier pair which I really like, but not on their own advice.
