Excellent The Barter House is what America is supposed to be. Privately owned business run by someone who has Pride in their service and merchandise. I shop there regularly when ever I need carpet or certain kinds of furniture, they have the best prices and make it their business to give good service.
Poor installation Had carpet installed by Barter house and it looks rough now. Bulges, looseness etc. Good carpeting, but a bad installation. It's been in for a few years about 25 years less than my upstairs carpeting (installed by someone else) and the upstairs carpet stayed perfect even after 15+ years.
just shopped there for the first time My sister and her husband bought carpet and pad, and had my husband instal their basement last week. They got the best value at Barter House, and we do shop...online and on phone & foot. We are happy to say they took care of us and were ready for pick up the next day.
