Came home feeling very educated about my condition.
I suffer from recurrent pericarditis and with my 2nd bout, saw Dr. Murphy in his office. He confirmed the diagnosis, said it should go away in a week or so and sent me home to rest. I went to the emergency room 3 days later because of the severe pain in my chest. They called Dr. Murphy, who denied I had pericarditis and told them not to give me pain medication. He told me the next day in his office, "You have to be careful about those things." I found a more compassionate, informed physician.
Very pleased with the time he spent explaining things, and felt he explored every avenue of treatment and testing to provide the best care.
