I am prone to kidney stone and acutely aware of their pain. I had no normal symptoms of a stone but woke to excruciating pain in my groin, inner leg and thigh. With no other explanation, I assumed it was one. It was, had the procedure, developed an infection and was hospitalized for three weeks, with that horrible pain never subsiding.
