My wife, Myrla Jent, was hospitalized and being treated for an UTI caused by E.coli. It was a 7 day treatment with Meropenum, Dr. Barrett terminated the treatment after 5 days and discharged her. In about a week, her UTI reoccurred caused by the E.coli which caused her to have to redo the Meropenem treatment for 10 days. Communication was poor between Dr. Barrett and the hospital doctor causing confusion and stress to the patient.
We were introduced to Dr.Barrett at Baptist Hospital . We were very impressed with his knowledge and skills. We were there for 23 days due to west nile and mycobacterium Avium complex. With his help my husband has come back around. We will continue to see him for quite sometime! We thank God for him!! And pray for all medical people????????
Dr. Barrett does not listen to the patient. He does not treat patients individually. He treats the patient as if their disorder goes straight by the book. I personally feel like he could not care less about my symptoms or how I feel. I would not recommend him to anyone. He does not take urgent appointments seriously. His nurse, Kim, has the same mentality as the doctor she works for.
One of the smartest docs I know! Marvelous sense of humor. He really knows his stuff and stays up on current best practice. He's saved me a few times! Wonderful.
