Great food, nice people. They are now open again Friday and Saturday nights! The fish on Friday night is incredible and so is the prime rib on Saturday nights. If you want fantastic food and a laid-back atmosphere, this is the place!
We found out today that the Barre Diner had reopened under new management...so we stopped out for a Saturday night dinner. We were seated immediately as there was a nice crowd already enjoying their dinners. I ordered the batter fried cob while my wife ordered a burger. Both meals were excellent and they included a nice side salad and a basket full of warm garlic rolls and corn bread muffins. Went with a group some had lunch, I had breakfast. My biscuits & gravy was excellent! The burgers that some got for lunch were huge!! Definitely enough for 2. Will definitely be back.
*Diners beware!* Barre Diner is under new management. For the past 10 years, the absolute sweetest, kindest, gentlest woman I've ever known has come to Barre Diner once per month for a game of Bridge and some lunch with her friends. Found this gem of a restaurant a few years ago and have been a regular ever since. Went for breakfast once but the "regulars" were overly political so the atmosphere was poor. (Why I took away 1 star) However, my wife and I go in for dinner and I get the prime rib and she gets the shrimp dinner. Everytime its perfectly done and delicious!
