What an amazing experience!! I have my mother's 1950 class ring from Cooleemee High School. Needless to say it is a treasure! The stone had the look of a pretty blue sapphire. It was not a real stone and over the years had become scuffed and scratched. I took it to a jeweler here in Salisbury to replace it with a sapphire that kept it for a few weeks, then called and said they could not replace the stone??
