They switched machines on me- using 2 different ones- taking longer, with 2 doses of contrast because they said the machine was messing up.
I've had to have several PET scans. At least 4 of them were here at BJC main campus. Each time it is the same thing...3 hour ordeal AT LEAST! I am waiting for one as I am typing this. My arrival time was scheduled at 150 PM with my appointment at 220 PM. They brought me back about 240. No big deal. I got my IV which takes 50 to 60 minutes. I am now waiting for the PET scan......and waiting. I should not be here almost 3 hours without having the scan yet. They told me not to eat after 750 AM. So now.its going on 5 PM. The staff has all been very rude while I was waiting with my husband. They do not inform me of what is going on and slam the door in my face. Learn to be kind. There is no reason for such behavior!
