Truly insane how much this hospital has gone down hill. How terrible it genuinely is all around now, in comparison to how awful they treat the patients now than how they previously used to genuinely seem to care about them and easing their pain. DO NOT GET ADMITTED TO THIS HOSPITAL IF YOU HAVE SICKLE CELL DISEASE. Dr. Zhou and Dr. Patel SHOULD NOT BE HEMATOLOGY DOCTORS IN CHARGE OF SICKLE CELL PATIENTS. As many have mentioned, the care while being hospitalized was great. The issue I'm having is getting straight answers from the Billing Department. I have recently been charged for services that were always covered in the past. When I ask to see past statements or an explanation to understand if how the services were billed, the standard answer has become "call your insurance company". What do I have to do to get straight answers?

First of all I’d like to thank the Surgeon, his team, the doctors (both GI and primary care) and the nurses. Oh, let’s not forget the Techs they were amazing ! Great care (especially bed side manner). All were knowledgeable and problem solvers. One negative thing I noticed was changing of gloves. They don’t always change their gloves or wash their hands which is nasty!
