Our first and last visit to this jeweler. My son is shopping for engagement rings and will be taking his business somewhere else. The sales consultant (lady with purple in her hair) used a tone that was rude and disrespectful when asking questions about rings.
Barnes is an amazing jewelry store. Jen is our go-to gal for our entire family. She is wonderfully creative & listens to what the client wants. The end result is always stunning.
Unfortunately, was very disappointed by my first experience with Barnes. It was my second of three stops to get my ring checked for some resizing and a repair. The woman (only one out front) was very rude and unhelpful. She quoted me 3x higher than one store and 5x higher than another!!! The local shop I ended up going with taught me a ton about my ring (I’ve had it for almost 15 years and didn’t know some of the care and maintenance tips) and took care of one of the issues on the spot at no charge! A hidden Gem in Oconomowoc! Trustworthy, Dependable, and Stunning inventory. Everyone is so knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. John Barnes Jr appraised all my old jewelry. Rachel and I designed and created my gorgeous Wedding Ring and some AMAZING earrings! I keep a “wish list” on file so my husband can surprise me with something special.
Disappointed with my experience at Barnes. I went in to look at rings with a friend and the consultant I was working with said they would save my information for when my boyfriend would like to propose (ring style and size). When my boyfriend went in to order the ring, they didn't have any of my information saved as the consultant no longer works there and apparently they didn't save any of my information so they played a guessing game trying to figure out what I like.
